Introduction to Age-ing to Sage-ing

Service Description

Participants will learn how to: Harvest their INTRODUCTION TO ‘FROM AGING TO SAGE-ING’ WORKSHOP May 17,24 and 31. Last Class on 6/7. Classes are from 4:00-5:30 PM PST Classes will be offered through Zoom Presented by: Jen Wulff, certified spiritual director, RN and chaplain. COST for four classes: $120 These classes are based upon the teachings of Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi z”l and teaching of Sage-ing International. The participant will learn how to: * Harvest their wisdom and transmit it as a legacy to future generations * Examine the myths of aging and affirm the elder years * Connect with one’s inner-wisdom * Nourish ourselves physically, emotionally, mentally, socially and spiritually * Look at the past as a ‘life review’ and ‘life repair’ with the wisdom of what we know now. * Understand that forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves. Create peace of mind by doing the legal, medical, and spiritual preparation as a way of facing one’s mortality * Identify ways for Elders to serve as mentors and healers in society * Develop one’s own vision of self as an Elder. This will be an interactive class. We will break out in dyads or triads for more personal discussions. Who will benefit: Older adults and elders and their families Mid-life adults who wish to design their second half of life 
Jen Wulff is a mother and a grandmother. She is a retired RN and served as a volunteer chaplain in one of the local hospitals in Reno. She currently serves on Temple Sinai, Reno board of directors as a member at large and in addition, serves on the board of Jewish Nevada. Jen is the co-chair of the Social Action committee at Temple Sinai, Reno. She has served on different committees while she was a member at Congregation Ner Tamid, Las Vegas and received ‘Congregant of the Year’ award for working with Family Promise, an organization that helps homeless families. She has been nominated numerous times for ‘Nurse of the Year’. Jen was certified as a Spiritual Director in 2020. She lives with her partner Lee, one doodle and two cats.
